Transfer funds between bank accounts

There may be times when you want to transfer money between your bank accounts, for example transferring money from your current account to your petty cash account. This article explains how to do this and also how to correct a transfer if it’s been entered in error.

To transfer funds from one bank account to another

  • 1. Banking > Manage Bank Accounts > Transfer.
  • 2. Complete the following information:
From * Choose the bank account you want to transfer funds from.
To * Choose the bank account you want to transfer the funds to.
Amount * Enter the amount you want to transfer between accounts.
Transfer Date * Enter the date of the bank transfer.
Ref If required, enter a reference for the transfer.

* These details are compulsory.

  • 3. Click Save.

To correct a bank transfer

If you’ve transferred money between bank accounts in error or with incorrect details, you can’t delete this. Instead, you can enter another bank transfer with the opposite information.

If you’ve transferred money to your cash in hand account in error, you can’t transfer it back. Instead, you can deposit the amount you transferred back into your current account, then transfer the money again with the correct details.

  • 1. Banking > Manage Bank Accounts > Transfer.
  • 2. Complete the following information:
From * Choose the bank account the funds were originally transferred to.
To * Choose the bank account the funds were originally transferred from.
Amount * Enter the amount of the original bank transfer.
Transfer Date * Enter the date of the original bank transfer.
Ref If required, enter a reference, for example Reverse.

* These fields are compulsory.

  • 3. Click Save.
