Sales tax rates
Sales taxes are charged according to the needs of your company and the area in which you do business. The system can automatically apply and keep track of the sales tax for the province or territory where you deliver goods or provide services. You must report this information at the end of a month, quarter, or year, depending on your report period.
To collect sales tax
- 1. Go to Settings.
- 2. Under Financial Settings, click Sales Taxes.
- 3. Enter your company’s GST/HST or PST number.
- 4. Select your company’s tax remitting frequency.
- 5. Click Save.
If you don’t collect tax for a certain area, select the I will not collect tax here check box.
