About the Summary page

The Summary shows the performance of your business at a glance. From here you can quickly view your money in and money out, a profit or loss, and your bank balances.

You can choose to view the following information for this month or this year:

Money in

This shows your net total income for the current calendar month or for the financial year to date.

From here you can view your money in transactions that makes up the balance:

  • Hover over the Money in tile and click View. The income and expense day book opens and lists your money in transactions.

You can also record a money in transaction. Click Add and complete the details.

Money out

This shows your net total expenses for the current calendar month or for the financial year to date.

From here you can view your money out transactions that makes up the balance:

  • Hover over the Money out tile and click View. The income and expense day book opens and lists your money out transactions.

You can also record a money out transaction. Click Add and complete the details as normal.

Balance

This shows your balance for the current calendar month or for the financial year to date. Click View to open the Income and Expense Day Book.

Note:

This is a gross profit figure, and calculates from subtracting your total expenses from your total income.

Invoices

These tiles display an overview of the following information:

  • Current and overdue amounts owing to you
  • Customers by outstanding invoices
  • Customers by overdue invoices

You can click a category (such as Overdue) to view transactions in that category on the Sales page, or click a customer to view their information on the Customer page.

Banking

This shows your bank accounts and balances. To open a bank record, click the relevant bank tile.
