The Totals option

It’s important that you know how your business is performing and what your cash flow is. You can use the Totals option to view your cash flow through your bank accounts and the total amount of cash that you pay or receive.

To view the totals, click Cashbook > Totals > enter the dates you want to run the report from and to. The report shows the following information.

Cash at Bank Summary

This area shows the breakdown and balances of your bank transactions. The opening balance calculates from the total of all bank transactions before the report start date. The closing balance is the opening balance plus the sum total of your bank activity between the two dates.

Cash in Hand Summary

This area shows the breakdown and balances of your cash transactions. The opening balance calculates from the total of all cash transactions before the report start date. The carried forward amount is the opening balance plus the sum total of your cash transactions between the two dates.
