Generic dimension member (uk-bus:Director1) has no associated name or description item.
Reason for error
A resigned or retired director has been used in an iXBRL tag, or selected as a dimension on an iXBRL tag. This could mean that the resigned or retired director has been tagged as a signatory to either the accounts or the directors report.
Solution
- Open the affected client and click Database.
- Click directors Group.
- Select Director 1.
- Ensure that Forename and Surname are fully entered in each directors tab.
- Click Other Directors Information.
- Ensure that No. of director signing first is correct.
- Ensure that the Retired / Resigned (database box 0541) box is not ticked.
- Regenerate the iXBRL accounts, attach to the CT600 and resubmit.
- Go to Quick Links > Directors.
- For each retired/resigned director, remove the tick from the Accounts Signatory box.
- Select and remove and blank directors in the database.
- Go to Quick Links > Reportpads > Directors Report.
- Remove all information relating to retired/resigned directors.
- Go to Quick Links > Reportpads > Accounts > Signatory.
- Remove all information relating to retired/resigned directors.
- Regenerate the iXBRL accounts, attach to the CT600 and resubmit.
If, after following the above steps, you have made no amendments to the file, then the resigned director must have been used as a dimension in one of the tags in Sage Assisted Tagging. You will need to review the saved tags and check to see whether the re-tired/resigned director has been set as a dimension on any tags. You will not need to check all the tags in the document, only tags which have been added using Sage Assisted Tagging and relate to entity officers, such as related party transactions or transactions with directors.
To review these tags:
- Select Re-open previous file. Sage Assisted Tagging will launch.
- Select Advanced.
- Tagged items will be highlighted in green. Click on each in turn to review the tag details.
- Click Change details to see all the tag details.
- Click View / Edit to see dimension information.
- Click Confirm details to save any changes.
- When you have finished your review, click Validate & generate iXBRL, to create a new set of iXBRL accounts.
